Let's Go Outdoors
It’s the time of year when the great outdoors beckons to us. The garden that lost its colour and vitality through the long winter months is now as a burst of sunshine, calling all those inside to come out and bask in its glory. When surrounded by nature our spirits are transformed, as though any negativity within us has been lifted together with those grey clouds.
Let’s try and raise those spirits further yet by spending as much time in the sunshine with those whom we love and care about. A great way to make the most the season’s good weather and to really appreciate all the work that we put in to making our gardens the works of art that they are is to bring our meals outside. Meals that throughout the long winter months were consumed at the kitchen table can easily be enjoyed in the garden.
Meal times are bonding times; the interaction that we get from sharing a meal, conversing and communicating would save many marriages and relationships. When we sit and eat around a table, we create a bond, a circle of intimacy, a circle of eye contact and a harmony of heartbeats that understands and recognizes each other. When the setting is that such as our blooming garden, whether it be in the dazzling sunshine or the gathering dusk, there is an extra ingredient. Let’s benefit from this gift of nature and treat ourselves and our loved ones. This is an opportune time to re-embark on a journey of enjoying each others company, knowing where our husbands, partners, children’s lives are at. Knowing what they are up to, what they are thinking and feeling.
